Hello everyone! I'm Angela, and this is my personal professional
web page. I am a seventh grade language arts teacher. I have been teaching at the same school for the past ten
years. With the exception of my student teaching which I did at Chocowinity High School in 1995, I have always taught
at Parker Middle School. I am very grateful to work at Parker Middle School for the best principal (Mr. Charles Davis) a
person could want to work for. I also work with an amazing faculty of friends who have become "family" to me.
Teaching is a challenging, exciting, frustrating, and sometimes even funny career that I feel I have been called in to.

Professional Mission Statement: It is my mission as a seventh-grade language arts teacher to teach all students regardless of academic level,
background, race, etc. the language of literature and writing, to immerse them in quality multi-cultural literature through
meaningful activities, and to engage them to think critically about literature and its power not only to reflect society but
influence it. It is my mission to use diverse instruction based on my students' needs, and collaborate with colleagues,
parents, administrators, and community members to enhance the quality of my instruction and ability to assess and meet
the needs of all of my students. I want to develop reflective and life-long learners out of my students. Through
recognizing how my values influence my behavior in the classroom, seeking to grow professionally, and continually reflecting
on my practices, it is my mission to become a highly motivating, knowledgeable, skilled, encouraging educational force not
only in my classroom but in my school, system, and nation.
